What is a shampoo similar to John Allan (Sport) but less expensive?

I went to a hair salon and the person who cut my hair used that shampoo and recommended it, and also said that I should not get shampoos from retail stores like Target who often have filler shampoos and I should NOT use Suave, Pantene, Garnier Nutrise, or Herbal Essences. I would like to get John Allan but it is way too expensive for me...anything of similar quality that costs less?
